The roman camp

Bonn was founded a good 2000 years ago by the romans, who constructed a military camp at this place. However there are much fewer remains of this origin than in other towns in the Rhineland. At least there is a district called "Römerlager" ("Roman Camp"), which contains some big appartment houses and students' hostels. On the picture those can be seen behind the row of poplars and the river Rhine.
